Finally getting some power to the track .
New AMRA street dresser 1/8 mile MPH record . 109.01
Still have lots of fine tuning to do , so I am very happy with what she's doing at this point .
Hillbilly stock shocks will be coming off before next race with a custom set to be added .

Very cool Jim. That's a couple of real fine photos too. You've been fighting the "only thing faster than cubic inches is cubic dollars" mantra for quite a while and now you're getting some good traction (pun intended).  Even though there's still a heavy cost, wait a prove them it can be done.  :beer:

All stock off the shelf parts so far KD.
A lot of personal goals have been accomplished on this journey .
Most everything in this engine was/ is used . The hurricane heads were new and untouched . The SE throttle body was new as was the pro-charger. Everything else was used . That was one of the goals , to bolt a used motor together and use mostly stock parts .

Now it's time to maximize the parts .

This class is going into the 9's . I hope I am the first , but Paul Vicory is flying and still not dialed in yet . Dave Dennick has been fast and focused for years. Unless someone else jumps in ?? It's a 3 way race to the 9's at this point .

That's awesome. Congrats. Surprised to see stock spoke wheels on there. Figure they wouldn't hold up to the abuse.

Well the wheels are used because they are the lightest set I own . And again to prove a point .
Yes you are welcome to kick in a set of Brock's carbon fiber wheels .  :smilep: just kidding .

So what are your plans for weight reduction (the bike, not you)?

I would think a cheap set of fiberglass fenders would be pretty easy to come by.
If this is basically just a race bike now, what about losing one front rotor?
Maybe a 21" front wheel (less rolling resistance, but not sure how that might effect other things). Any idea what your front wheel weighs? I've got a 21x3.25 60 spoke sitting in my shed I could weigh. It's pretty light.

Just curious on this stuff. What you're doing is really interesting to me. Best of luck.

That pic is not off the line . It's at the top of 2nd gear. 6400 rpms the shift light just came on and my foot it going up to click 3 rd gear . The ign kill sets it back down on the shift .
The photographer was at 1000 ft capturing speed shots . She turned around and got me at 600 ft . She captured the bike all the way up and all the way down . ( she said I owed her a hug ) I had them frame it until it was at the highest point , with my foot just starting to raise.
It was a great photo . And I gave her a BIG hug . Then spent lots of money .

No set plan on weigh reduction . I am focused on more hp at this point .
I don't like a 21 wheel on a bagger ,mixed with speed myself .
Hoping to make 25-30 more Hp before the end of season . 50-75 more for next season .
Probably end this season with some good shocks ,and a little more hp . That should put it in the 9's . If not . There is always next year .

The pass riding the wheelie was 10.45 . Maybe next year I will run NHRA for a race or two , and see if I can get a Wally . I would have to run 10.50 index class.
Everyone loves the winner circle for sure . But setting a record or re setting your record , has a much more sense of accomplishment . But After 4 runner ups this season ,the win felt pretty darn good .
