build it

Multiple people have pushed these lifters without doing their research or ever having used them. The roller in of itself changes the action of the cam a significant amount, and would require a camshaft designed specific to the roller. Not to mention the oiling differences between the applications, which are impossible to ignore.

Points of research: Pitch curve, trace point, prime circle, base circle, pressure angle.

:wtf:
Get the principles down first, they'll never change.

did anyone actually measure the roller size on this GM lifter?
I'm just curious as to what it does measure and what the suggested preload setting would be.
I tried a Morel lifter some months back that had a larger .750" roller on it and the preload I tried with it played a big part of it not working in my T/C engine. This Chevy lifter looks very similar to it.

I have some Morels that I bought from Mondello a while back but haven't used them.  They have half the travel.

wrong oil weight in a HD, valving will struggle with 20-50..  , ceramic check ball has had a rather larger failure rate. as well reduce oil to top end due to the spring pack that GM runs,..... and then you are dealing with valve spring rate. The CTSV engines are running very low psi,.. 100 on the seat and 300 ish open.. They run titanium locks and retainers with sodium filled - titanium valves, so extremely light compared to most cars and lighter than the HD stuff.

If you do run them please let us know how they work.. I just dropped $700 on my new hyd rollers for my little SBC.. (  and 350-375 roller lift is really all the small wheel is set up for . We all know that they are run with more than than but design wise is what it is.
