helping friend remove belt drive primary--not knowing much about belt drive my question is do you stuff belt wirh same tool for chain [ 3 step block ] or just hit with impact? i always avoid inpact with my own ride since tool works good but i am not sure with belt what is best--i was a member on old site and was out of riding for last 3 years, but able to ride again, but really prefer to work on the beasts- thnks for info--safe riding--

Don't use the stepped block.  You run a high risk of damaging the belt.  I use two methods for this sort of thing:

1) Put the bike in 5th gear.  Put the front wheel against something solid (wall of the garage).  Have someone stand on the rear brake.  Use a wrench with good leverage to remove the engine pully and clutch hub nuts.  Remember the clutch hub nut is left-hand thread.

2) Use the impact wrench.
