Just picked up an 08 TBW throttle body from Ebay on the cheap. I thought it would come in handy when I get the 124.

Even if I buy a aftermarket throttle body, I'll be able to use the electronics off this so I won't be down waiting on a throttle body.

My question is, how big can the early model throttle be bored out? Would it be big enough to use for a touring barge?

I plan on getting the LC, if I get North of 125 hp and torque, I'll be happy.

Thanks in advance for any input.

can be bored to 54MM

IMO....you should run a 58mm with the LC

Best choice would be the HPI...SE 58 and throttle hog lagging behind  :oil:

You say SE is lagging behind... Why?   Not disagreeing... Just curious

KingofCubes

More manifold volume in the HPI

What randy stated along with manifold shape and airflow

I would not however say that ANY of those I mentioned are a bad item

All of them, HPI included can be improved upon with varying amounts of work

I had recently purchased the SE 58 mm so was curious if it was a mistake.  It's going on a custom built 120 with 12:1 compression.

N-gin

IMO SE stuff just isint good enough.
I craigslisted all my SE stuff. All of it.
I'm not here cause of a path before me, Im here cause of the burnout left behind

  Welcome

You can bore a 58SE to 60MM for a little more of a badass build

With a stealth backing plate....open on 110 head(valve opened to .600) it was worth 12 cfm over a stock
