What is involved in converting a 1985 FXRS with single disc with 35mm fork to a set of 39mm single disk forks?

Are there any mods needed to the frame?

Not hard...............

Change triple trees and tubes.  Bolts right up.

Did my '85 a long time back

Any fork stops or other things that need to be changed/modified? Everything is bolt-up?

I bolted a 41mm Softail  WG on, everything fit 100%

Including fork / neck lock too.

I did the same but had to adjust the fork stops to get full "slow race" steering travel (without biffing the tank). They were the factory "raked" trees that reduce trail, made for lighter steering.
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm "hard headed"
