I've never quite seen the point of a motorcycle security system, My bike has one because it came with it, but it certainly won't prevent somebody stealing it.

99% of the bikes stolen are by 4 big nasty MFers that pick the bike up & throw it in the back of a panel truck.  That takes about 30 seconds & no chain will slow them down either.

So, your asleep in your hotel room & the alarm goes off.  What do you do now??  Grab your 45 & run out and try to stop them??   That would be the stupidest thing you could possibly do.  Being in the business that I was in for years (I was half owner of a custom Harley shop) I used to run into guys that stole bikes for a living & believe me, they where the last people on earth you would want to confront in one of these situations.  I don't care how much time/money/hard work you have in your bike, it aint worth dying for.

My advice is keep your bike where you can see it at all times & keep your insurance up to date.

:agree:
If someone wants your bike badly enough, no alarm will ever stop them.  The best thing anyone can do is carry an adequate insurance policy.  No bike is worth anyone's life.

Based on past posts, this is what 95% of respondents on this site say they would do. And with extreme prejudice.    :missed:

I'll protect myself and my family with whatever I have if I have no choice but I have to say I'd sure hate to take someone elses life and would never go looking for that situation. It's a lose, lose IMO  :idunno:

I agree no bike is worth a life.  I hope  the alarm   :speaker: will remind thieves of this before it comes to that situation .

Agree it wouldn't be a smart thing to do, likely the dumb thing . . . I'd still be inclined to see how many I could double tap with the 45
