I just got a top end gasket kit from Cyco, the exhaust gaskets are a different design then I have used in the past. I'm wondering if they are worth trying??
Any one have experience with them good bad or indifferent?
Anything less then overkill is under achievement.

Your comment was 2 weeks ago , I use drag part 0934-1237 never had a problem , not a fan of the mesh gasket.

Lou, The part you have are Cometic C9540 Race gaskets. They work quite well and do not intrude in the port.
I sub those in the top end kits when sold with our Pro Street heads

This post deserves an update. I got that top end gasket kits and those gaskets. They're a flat mesh style(like the SE ones, I believe) They leak! Like blown HG type of leak! The tech at Cyco told me the kits don't come with the good one and that I needed to buy their tapered carbon impregnated ones :emoGroan: I've never had a ext gasket leak this bad! Sure most the HP ones leak a bit and you can see evidence of that around the flange but these are a diff story.

I still and only use 0934-1237  drag # , believe those to cometic . They work great . They did make a change to exhaust gasket for the better . So its up to you.

I have a TH 2-1 and I have to admit that the split flange retainer was dish shaped. I used tapered ones and all good now.

I tried those from my Cyco top end kit, and they leaked. I went down to get a set of SE gasket from HD and they told me the regular ones they sell now are the same as the SE. Therefore they are a little cheaper.
