Anyone using these beads as the alternative to stick on weights? Is it real or just snake oil - the concept seems real, just looking for anyone that has some experience with them - thanks.

Use the search function on the site and search for "beads". You'll find a plethora of information.

I have been using them for years.  never a problem.  no shimmy, or shake at any speed up to 100 mph.  jus smooth as butter on my bike.   I use them in the dunlop elete 3;s.

Just use the heavier airsoft plastic bb's. They work just as well asthe Dyna needs and a whole lot cheaper

I don't use them (because I have a balance machine) but if I was to use any I would use counteract balance beads. they are less abrasive and don't void tire warranties like dyna beads do

I run my front tire on my 89flhtcu from 29k to 31k . used dyna beads for years and have never seen any damaging  wear marks on the Dunlop 402's . the beads show discoloration from the tire compound but that's all.
only problem I ever experienced was a valve stem that wouldn't let the beads pass.
I will be using them as long as they make them.

Going on 3rd season with mine. Bike runs nice and smooth, no issues, no vibrations. Will use them again next time I change rubber. YD

And what is that?  And where does one buy it for $4?

I know this is going to sound silly. but I worked for a trucking company for 35 yrs. they tried about every balance thing there is. when they started to use counteract balance beads, i started using it my tires on the bike. worked great but a little expensive ,since the company went to using GOLF BALLS in the tires. I've seen those sucker balance tires for over 100,ooo miles. and no complaints from the drivers at all.

How do you get bb's into the tire?   When mounting new?
I'm starting to believe my body is gonna outlast my mind.

Madtownguy

Just put them in the tire when mounting new. An existing Tire if you can break the bead and pour them in and reseat the tire you should be good to go.
