will a trike reverse gear out of a 2005 road king
work in a 1993 heritage

I'd guess probably.
Check to see if they use the same gasket.
Another difference is the oil tank, 05 RK has the tank under the trans, a softail has a horseshoe tank.
Exhaust clearance?
