I will be installing a new EK 530 ZZZ chain on Wednesday.  I had a couple of sets of the master link spacers required for installing an new master, but after a move, for the life of me I can't find them.
Would someone tell me how thick these spacers are? I know they are 5/8" on centres and approx 3/8" diameter to clear the O rings. They have to be there to prevent the O ring from being crushed while riveting. Hopefully I can make a pair before Wed morning.
Thanks in advance.  Buffalo

Why not just measure the gap on the chain and make the spacer that thickness?

Hi Max  Yes that would be easy - if the chain wasn't 26 miles away at the independants shop!! I'm the only idiot for a 100 miles that did a chain conversion on my 01 Dyna when I went to a 124" engine.
Really pissed that I was unable to find the spacers where my things are stored.
Maybe someone can help here, right. Buffalo

Now I know, why some animals eat their young.

Thankyou packrat56   I suspected it to be around 1/16" (.0625")   .060 is close enough!! Now to find some material and make a pair tomorrow. Buffalo

I started digging around the apartment to see if I had anything I could make two of these spacers with. I had no steel, but a little aluminum. Altho not ideal as it may crush slightly, it would be better than nothing, right.
I found a 24" long sanding T designed for doing large surfaces on RC models. Turns out it is .059", close enough to .060 for me! So the T is now 22 1/2", and I have a pair of spacers ready to go. Buffalo
