Got a 95 Heritage that I just got done building this winter.  Andrews EV27, S&S E w/ Thunderjet, S&S ignition, and a little head work.  Just trying to get a handle on some jetting on the carb, before I go buying a bunch of jets and not like them.  Is there anyone else running something similar and could give me a base point?  Years ago got a setup for a 42 Miki and loved it!!  Hoping for the same here.

Thanks. :smiled:

Start off with a 29.5 intermediate & a 68 main. The main might need adjusting depending on the pipe but the intermediate should be good.

What about the Thunderjet?

I have a 2003 Softail Deuce.  95" gear drive Woods 6, V/H propipe, SE Heads massaged by Steve at GRM.  S&S Super E and it runs excellent and gets about 42mpg all day long and is easy to start.

S&S Super E (28 intermediate & 72 main)
Triple X Boost tube that really smooths the transition between jets on the carb and I also run a intake atomizer screen just for insurance. All with K&N filter and S&S Desperado teardrop cover.  (The one with the vented slots in the front)

I wouldn't change a thing.

I tried it, and my experience was that the mileage suffered.  Using the boost tube made an incredible difference,  I think I paid $99 from XXX Carbs in Texas.  My understanding was that Bob from Triple X was the one that designed the DiVinci boost tube and has since parted ways and is doing his own thing and his product is very good quality and nothing near the cost of DiVinci.

OP,
What air bleed is in there and what jets are in there now? Unscrew the T jet cap and check that jet too.

Agree about the boost tube and XXX. Have done work for me and its top shelf.
As far as the TJet, not sure how your mileage suffered, as the TJet comes on for top end at 4500 and up, and 95% of riding is 2-4K range on these air pumps.
Maybe you changed inter and main, which caused your mileage drop?
Everything has to work together from start to red line. Inter, air bleed, main and TJet working seamlessly, and carb upgrades improve them even more.

Sounds like a good start, either a 68-70 main but depends on the air bleed and TJet.
