Has anyone had any run time or long term experience with the mellings JB-2079 lifters??  I hate to start a new thread about lifters, if we can keep to just this brand and no other to avoid the "I use the blah blah blah" would be greatly appreciated.  TIA

I was using Melling lifters that I was getting from Joe Mondello. Never had any problems. After he passed I went in a different direction. You shouldn't have any trouble with those.

Better than 50K miles on an Andrews 54 cam when bike was traded in. No problems. $10 a lifter from AutoZone.

A small time local indy has been running the same lifters for over 40k in his own bagger and has installed them in about a dozen other bikes according to him without any issues.  They work well and are readily available, "there like donuts, i get them fresh whenever i need them at the local auto parts store" :hyst:

Thanks Geezer_Glider for posting.  im throwing a set in myself, got em for nuttin, fresh from the donut shop!!!
