Witch are the good mufflers for a 2-1-2 touring system, when the priority is overall Tq curve and not too loud?
I really want to keep the low rpm Tq as I have seen in numerous charts.

-I read that the Crusher is a good one, but specifically witch modell?

-Fullsac is one option, but in this thread Im looking for something I can buy in Europe. (witch includes all major brands)

-Does even V&H have anything that actually perform in the low Rpm range?

Lot of question on a confusing (for me) subject.

Kury has created a brand now called 'Crusher'

In the past the muffler was the 'Crusher' with the mellow or regular packing and your choice of tips....

Now it's the #505 Mellow Trident Slip-Ons, Chrome or the regular #491 Trident Slip-Ons, Chrome; the other NEW crushers do not use the stainless steel packing.

with the crusher I would pick the #505 for what you want...

I haven't seen a 2-1-2 muffler yet.. IIRC Stroker had a  1-2-1 for a while tho..

The E Series pipes are hard to beat. I don't know anything about the new mfgrs though.
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm "hard headed"

2-1-2-1 hillbilly exhaust .

Rush do as well as anything. They are quiet and fairly cheap.

A muffler that has done very well is the SE street cannon. I have run it many times over and they always work well.. Rush without a doubt get the job done, crusher ( not maverick ) works killer as well .. Some times its about looks over performance . The rush is not sexy but man it works great .

Steve,

With a cat free headpipe, how's the street cannons sound? (Subjective)
Is there a lot of "back talk" on decel?

stock 15 made 88/104  V&H pwr dual head pipe and another 15 with our 577 cam made 102/112 with V&H pwr dual head pipe

The gutted stock head pipe made 77/100  I think they where street cannons I wrote down SE slip on so on that one I do not recall it may have been some other SE muffler  :embarrassed:

sounds great no issues tuning..

Check out the cobra muffler 4 " drag part number 18010841  They are on the quieter side, have a sprial louvered baffle and work great. The price is far less than some of the others mentioned.   Also I just installed a set of 4 inch S&S muffs on my own bike with a slimline dual headpipe, they have a nice throaty sound and are very quiet at cruise speeds and made a great torque curve as well.

tuned a couple sets of the SPO's not really all that impressive but they were very quiet, I actually watched the guys building them one day at S&S. They are definitely not a lightweight muffler. Like carrying an extra passenger.

We put a set of Rush headers and Freedom mufflers on a new 16 Streetglide with an Andrews 57 cam and it cranked out 95/108

I'm sure, they look like they're heavy... Are these the mufflers you used on your bike

The innards look to be very similar the Khromewerks 4" mufflers.
