Cruise Module Interchange Question

Does anyone know if the cruise control module from the 1998-2003 era of modules will work on a 2005 bike?  Physically they're same but the part numbers changed with 2004.  Before just plugging it in and trying it was hoping someone already knew.

No it will not work. In 2004 they moved to the seral data buss and it is incompatible with the older systems.
