I was told that the trans door cover for mid controls was different than the door cover with foot boards, (pictured below, pretty nasty eh!). Clutch cable comes in lower for mid controls. If true then I need a cover for a Low Rider?

Yes and no.

Yes, the mid controls require an end cover with a hole for the clutch that is at a lower angle than the one for floor boards or forward controls.

No, you don't need a new cover. Your existing cover comes with the bosses for both locations. Simply drill and tap the unused boss for the lower cable opening and plug the unused opening.

To plug the other opening, use a simple button head screw that runs the full length of the hole without protruding inside the cover. Coat it with red lock tight and be done with it.

To drill and tap the other boss, no need to get fancy here. Simply chuck it up in a drill vice and drill and tap. Do a small countersink for the o-ring.

Cool. You guys are the best.

I was watching the video from FXR Cartel 2016, saw Matt's (40 Cal Choppers) FXR. It appears he has a TC end cover (or could be aftermarket) with the same clutch cable entrance as mine, along with mid controls, he's a local guy, I'll have to take a closer look when I see him. For now going to drill mine. Thanks again Turboprop.

Repop covers are about fifty bucks if you ever need one. Search by factory part #.

I used 37103-87A which superseded 37104-87.

I put an aftermarket cover on my fxr when I changed from floor boards to mids. Looks stock. About 50 bucks  as I remember.

The TC cover does have the cable inlet set a bit higher
