bad paint on the dyna frames, rust runs from inside where frame is assembeld

And once again Harley dissapoints with lowering the standart in their frame paint, rust is runnig from where the framepipes are assembeld just behind where the stock footpegs are mounted on my 2014 dyna street bob( and it was rusted when i got it from brand new two years ago, dealer said they all rust from several point right out of the factory... WTF

or I will never buy anouther new one.

Eastwood makes some special coatings for this type of issue. Its the stuff Jeep owners use and their frames are prone to rust.

Is there a reason why they don't powdercoat their frames. For the last several years I've had the frames on all my builds powdered and after years of use and abuse none that I know of has started to show any signs of rust at all. Done properly the frames come out looking every bit as smooth and glossy as any paint.

'Might be mistaken but, I'm pretty sure the red frame on the '01 FXDWG2 is powdercoated??

They used to powdercoat the frames. When did they stop?

Talked to dealer again today, and all i got was some kind of spray that should stop the rust from getting worse , apparently its Harley who offers this spray......
