I just read your response to the post about Corbin backrests. I have had a dual tour on my RKC for seven years and just recently purchased a used backrest. How do you adjust the angle? The one I have is not the oval back, it is more triangular. I do not recall what Corbin called it. Is there some kind of adjustment in the seat that I did not see?

On the backrests that I have (both oval Corbins), there is an adjusting screw on the back of the backrest.  Is there a slit in the cover the screw is hiding behind ?

Yes there is, but it only seems to hold the back pad to the bar. Unless there is something else that is possibly missing?

Try backing the screw/bolt out a few turns then nudge the backrest, it may be a little tight from not having changed position in a long time.  Mine can be a little tight if I need to tweak it a little if I haven't changed saddles in a while.  I'll slide the backrest into the saddle, back out the adjusting screw and use my back to reposition the backrest. That way, you're applying even pressure across the face of the backrest pad.  Once it's "broken free" it moves (pivots) much easier forward or backwards.  Hope this helps !!!

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I appreciate the info.
