Have a bike in that broke the rocker support on the rear cylinder.  IT would run but the ex valve would not open.. Customer claimed fire coming out of T/B  so I pull it down and am looking for some smaller parts missing from the support. Find the rods are stuck on the crank. So Since this kit is complete has ES cams bike is a 2007 Dyan with a D&D fat cat. The kit fill's the needed parts along with the new S&S crank as well.

Will post up results but the kit is very nice. Will post up pics if anyone wants them or has questions on it. Piston to wall is spot on and the cylinders are extremely round and straight .

Steve what will you be doing with the heads ? Just wondering if CVO 110 heads would be compatible with the pistons in this kit

HD/Wrench

It would be lacking comp ratio . As the kit makes 10.4 ish  with a stock TC 85 cc chamber head ( yes I know that the 85 number is a guess just stating how they figure it ) so with a 95 cc chamber is 9.4 ish . No way would a 585 cam like that what so ever.

Even cutting the CVO head to 88 and back cutting the manifold to improve t/b fitment and a 030 is still on 10.2 .
Now cut to 86 and 030 and you are 10.4 but you had better check the piston to valve as the 2.080 may not clear.. I can measure the dome pocket but no idea as the angle is altered with the CVO and valve size .. again check it . Easier to just use a stock T/C head

Thanks for the info Steve . I have a 2005 electra glide tore down now , going to use the new S&S 100" kit . Will be having Gregg Dahl do the heads as well . I dont have the kit in hand yet , glad to hear the cylinders are micing out well for you . If you can post up any info along the way . I called S&S to get a powervision base map for the 100" kit and they told me they didnt have any maps .

Thank you. I have a stock 2012 road king police waiting to hot rod and have some new 110 heads and gmr 600 cams and se58 throttle body sitting on the shelf also power dual and crusher mufflers sitting around. Could do 107,110 or ?

When you say easier to use stock TC heads, are you doing any porting on them? Would love to see dyno results of this setup with some decently worked over heads.

HD/Wrench

No this bike has 100% stock heads and stock Cable T/B . In my opinion a very good test from a basic build stand point . Sure ported heads will make more but then you have the " who's ported heads question ".

Got the dyna completed it made 108 122 and the clutch was slipping ( barnett spring) until 4500. Not bad for a bolt on it .

108/122 with stock heads? Damn.

Nice work.
What cam is in this kit?
Does this S&S kit have steel liners or cast?

Steve , are you going to post a sheet on this build ? Interested in seeing the lines .

Steve, did you use the .045 HG included with the kit & is that how they figure the 10.4 CR? Doyou have any idea what CC figure is on the pistons? TIA

HD/Wrench

Comp ratio is 10.6 on math, no way to really check CCP it has 585 ES cams, and no I am not going to bang a brand new engine running on one lung  to check CCP   . So that a 85.1 and 85 even  cc chamber 4 inch bore 040 HG dome of 1.75 CC  with a top ring land volume of .-084 so dome volume is .910+  Piston is .0055 on rear and .006 in the hole on the front > yes my comp ratio is based on ALL of this info.

What is the total height of the piston?

HD/Wrench

No idea I did not measure it I checked Piston to deck but thats it  comp height is 1.090 it did not have any notches on the skirt though. Very nice piston , 1.22/1.22/3.02 mm ring pack ,... CP piston 1.75cc ( .030 dome height )  dome as I said but then you loose the top land volume which is -.84 cc so you are back to .910 on volume ITs not super short but just enough to allow the piston to not need a notch to clear the other piston. You have my number red feel free to call if you have more questions

Cylinder/piston kits by themselves are now available.

Roll your own.

Thanks for the info on this Steve, had several ship to customers today. Glad to see the decent gain as well. Also glad to hear that the initial quality and engineering seems sound.
Need a bigger garage

Yes you can buy the kit individually. However the cost is much higher currently due to the winter sale. Retail on the cylinder kit is 1099.95.

Any chance you can get the dome height/size for the 100" pistons?

I wish they offered a set without the highlighted fins. This would be a great setup for the wife's slim.
