Looking to vent somewhere other than into the bacKing plate on an S&S e carb. Is mounting a crank vent filter remotely good enough or, is it better to use a purpose built system?

Check out the Kuryakyn Blue Grass breather.

ive done a few that way , no problems

Burnout

A filter on the hose is useless, all it does is collect oil and drip wherever you park.

No air goes in that route, only air out.

EPA wanted it routed into the air filter so the motor would eat what comes out and burn it.
