My body mechanic does work for an auction yard next door and they have a 2016 fat boy that was damaged on the right side. The insurance co does not have the fob, only the key. Any way I can start the bike without the fob to make sure there are no engine issues before I bid on it?

I think you will need the PIN to start it without the fob.
