Consider writing a polite letter to the owner stating your experience, including the manager's name. Let him know that you will not be returning and why. Again, the key is to be polite and professional.
It really doesn't matter if he responds to you or not, preferably he would, but more for your peace of mind.

Looks to me like he talked to him face to face and got blew off. Time to just walk away and give the business to someone else.

I have no problem with that a room either.

H'mat - you still ain't said what yr it is....    1st time I did the new "cam ring" style I didn't have the proper tool. It took me about 2.5hrs. Hard to get the seal to stay in place on installation without proper gear or an extra set of hands.....
I didn't charge that but.....

The owner IS the manager. He works the front counter and is the person you deal with to set up work on your bike and he is the one that prepares your bill. I have known him for 10 years, were in the same RC for many years and have defended him when I heard stories about problems with him and until recent I never had an issues with him. I guess all it takes is to get options like different opinions on upgrades and then have some work done elsewhere for a "friendship" to end. In the end it really means I have to do more of my own work and if needed, find another shop to do the repairs I cannot.
