Anyone use Autolite XST4265 plugs in their stock shovels?  I've read the recent threads regarding plugs for dual plug heads but haven't see much on the single plug heads.  I've been running the RN12YC's with no issues but I was given a case of the XST4265 plugs and just wondering if they will work in my 1976.

I have no idea what XST signifies, but 4265 is a direct cross reference to the Champion.

If XST means it costs more than the regular 4265, it is not worth it on a stock set up.

I see so many out_trick themselves with exotic plugs.

I have run the 4265s on my dual plugged 93" mill for 13 years. Never an issue.

The XST4265 have a fine wire type of tip instead of a normal tip. I'll try them for a few miles and see how they work out.

How did they work out?
They worked okay but while troubleshooting a poor idling issue I put the RN12YC's back in. The idling problem  turned out to be improper valve adjustment.  Now that it's running good I need to give the XST4265's another test run.  If I can get a good test in yet this season I'll post a follow-up.
