Anyone making the trip North?
I'm already there... in the north that is...not racing but I would like to take the the trip east to epping for the drags. I have never been able to figure out NED's schedule for the bike drags.
NHRA and top fuel Harleys will be at NED July 6-8.
Make sure to go early. On NHRA weekend the traffic is horrible getting into the track, the roads just are not able to handle that many vehicles once a year. You can hear them run when your sitting in traffic on 101 but it is no place to watch from.
thank you both for the tips..I'm going come hell or high water
I will be there Saturday.
I'll be there Sunday....live an hour away....and YES get there early....leaving will be a b*tch as its late Sunday and the end of the holiday weekend

Must have been a Seriously great time... considering all the feedback!!!!! :fish:
It always has been in the past, this year looked great to me on TV.
Assuming you are in the Area...
Way to Support the Sport.... :wtf:
If yer too far away.... Ignore my Dig, and pass it on to any deserving Soul!!!!!
222 miles an hour .... whew ! Seemed warmer than 80F..very exciting..I have not been to any type of racing since I was a kid. My uncle used to take me to motorcycle hill climbs..He used to run an indian up the hills in the late 40s - early 50s..Before he lost a bunch of fingers ripping logs into boards at te mill.

Turner was quicker at the tree but Vancil got by him before they reached 60 feet. Vancil continued to pull away on the track and crossed the finish line first to take his third win.

222 miles per hour? That is seriously screaming down the track.
No wonder Pro Stock doesn't want them at the same events.
Heres a few from pics from Epping....Jay Turner broke the track MPH @228 in an earlier round but Doug Vancil took the win in the finals with a 6.283 @ 222.44MPH
