Looking up parts for a future build and noticed 19 CVO cranks have an "A" added. 24100045 to 24100045A. Anyone know what changed? Thx
Scot
I do know the new cranks have had the wheels narrowed a bit for 19, not sure why.
so they will have less mass to rotate through the oil sitting in the bottom of the case. :dgust:
sorry...I couldn't resist. :hyst:
Thinner wheels = more case volume
Maybe they have "broadend" the crank runout specs? :emsad:
If they've broadened the runout specs I'm not sure why I only measured .001.
I have measured 6 so far. .002" - .008" the rest in the middle. "Roll Those Dice!!!"

I'm personally bitten by this issue, but that was pretty damn funny! LOL!! Thanks for the laugh.
Had the chance to have a 19 and 18 flywheel side-by-side in the shop today. Here are some pics. The closest one is the 19. Everything measured the same except for Pinion runout. The 18 has four holes in the wheel and the hardened steel races that come with the lefty bearing.
Farther one is the 19.
The 18.
