Title: Interchanges with engines
Post by: Ohio Boo on June 21, 2022, 03:21:02 PM
Been a long time since I've posted but I've got 1 for you...

Are the 2014 B motors interchangeable with 2000 frames? Both B motors.

and if so, will the 2014 B motor receive a 2000 B Tranny?

You can't run a six speed motor with a five speed transmission. The shaft lengths do not align. The primary chain would never be aligned.

Six speed motor has the primary chain further away from the motor than the five speed motor. Early TC motor has a course spline motor shaft, Late TC has a fine tooth motor shaft. So the components can't be switched to make the clutch align. with the motor sprocket.

Don't know about Softails, the shocks may have different locations. Touring motors and Dyna bikes, yes you can get the entire assembly in.
