Title: Off set for chain sprocket
Post by: woody10 on December 17, 2008, 04:30:14 PM
Hi, I am building a 86 Sporty 4spd into a rigid frame chopper. All I have is motor and tranny combo, so I need to know how many teeth this bike needs on rear sprocket.  Also, it will have a 200 rear tire, so I need to know how much offset will be needed on this sprocket. Thanks for your help!

I'm doing a rigid sporty too, I have some questions posted also, I have all but finished mine just working out some things. LED SLED customs in Dayton Ohio will be able to help you. They sell a complete kit for fat tire sportys. I was using a 150 but i have had to change to something smaller due to fender clearence that I mocked up to close. Pat and Shane at ledsled will hel;p you

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I talked to a tech at HD and he said that if the frame is set up for wide tire, you don't need a offset sprocket. Still not sure about that though.
