I have a FLHTC Electra Glide Classic. In the fairing is an Electric Oil Pressure Gauge. Does anybody know where it is getting it's signal from? The wiring diagram shows a connection to the AVC/timer unit. Automatic Volume Control. It also shows 2 terminals & wires on the oil pressure switch, right rear behind pushrod tube, which my bike only has one wire. Is there another? The problem with the gauge is with the ignition on the gauge is pegged, ignition of the gauge moves to 0pressure. The idiot light works correctly.
Gauge # 75032-87

You need a correct schematic. It's wired to the sending unit. Lower front right on the motor. Can't offer more as you didn't specify the bike.
The sending unit to be used with this gauge is a 2 post, part number 74406-87
It was specified on the first line, FLHTC Electra Glide Classic.

And that would be what year? :teeth:
1987 :bf:
I got a 97 evo FLHT and it has a VDO sending unit.Threaded into the stock position behind the rear pushrod. Two wire at the sending unit.
I have a 94' FLHTC, and it is in the same spot as the above 97' FLHT.
+ is battery voltage from the ign switch and S is ground at the oil pressure sender. The senders have gotten hard to find. I've been told that the senders Mercury Marine uses will work. But they are galvanized and hard to look at.
Paint it black.
