Sounds like lifter noise. How many miles on the engine?

IMO The Cometic gaskets (C9247) that Ohio HD mentioned are without a doubt the best option. I have used pretty well all of them and other than those that are special profile for the shape of the exhaust spigot they are the only ones that haven't intruded / "squished" into the exhaust port and are capable of causing turbulence and restriction.  When handled, the square faced gasket rings feel minimal in size and very stiff.  Again, when the gaskets are retorqued hot after the first heat cycle, they compress vary well and seal the pipe without pushing into the port reducing exhaust flow like the softer versions (like the Harley SE) that looks the same.

Performance build or not, you don't want this.

The exhaust on my two bikes have square ended header pipes, both have D&D systems. I run the Cometic C9247 on both, never have a leak.

I like the Tapered Gaskets

and I'd replace the exhaust studs with the M8 studs

Quote from: kd on Today at 06:58:08 AMTry a search on this site.  IIRC Ohio HD has posted the gear ratio you may need.  The input "codes" can depend on the tuning device you use.

The tool that Dyno Jet sent to me makes a calculation based on the two transmissions gear ratio differences, and also against the MAP gear ratios for that bike. Not all MAP gear ratios are the same for an OEM six speed, I've seen them change by different year bikes. So unless he has a PV or TTS now, I don't know how you would adjust the ratios and hopefully the speedometer to match the GB transmission.

This is what the spreadsheet looks like from Dyno Jet. I assume this would work for TTS as well, but I don't know that for a fact.

It doen't matter which gasket you use .The tapered ones seem to seal better , but could interfere with the port when tighten down. The strait ones will eliminate the port interference but they could leak .
