Title: Corrugated exhaust pipe
Post by: CarlosGGodfrog on January 02, 2018, 01:43:25 PM
Hi, on the bikes in the late thirtys, the exhaust appears to be corrugated / flex pipe. Is it the actual exhaust pipe, or a flexible heat shield ?

Carlos, that would be a flexible heat shield.

If you do a goggle search on "v-twin flex exhaust" you'll find V-Twin's 30-0110, the other sets that V-Twin sells are 30-0311 & 30-0459.  I don't remember which set I purchased years ago for my pan but I think the rear is a little too short.  Also try a search on "Harley flex exhaust".

dynaflex products makes heat shields for trucks in both galvanized and 302 stainless.
