Great looking bike Deye! A newer version of your FXRT. Have seen the dyno sheet also, looks like it runs as good as it looks.

Do you still have your Road Glide also?

Just bought first new ride in 19 years. Love how smooth it is.

Still rocking the 2002 FLH also. Too much history to let it go.

2020 CVO Road Glide. Bought new last year in April and just rolled 55,000 miles. It's been a fantastic bike!

I put 700 miles on my new 2021 FLHTP in the first 2 weeks just going local. Definitely a lot more torque than my 2014 .20211123_194310.jpg

I sold my 2016 CVO Street Glide and for a lot less price bought this 2017 FLTRX-S Solar Eclipse Edition with 12,000 miles. Added KST 12" Spearhead Handelbars, RWD Rear Shocks, Painted to match lower fairings.Tall Boy Seat. Found it to be allot smoother ride and the 107 engine smoother (Stage 1) and more powerful than the CVO 110. Also a smoother ride.

Still a work in progress over the upcoming winter.

When Harley created the M8, making my 2013 Anniversary-edition FLHTK obsolete (or on the path towards obsolesce), I went ahead and updated with a new to me 2019 FLHTK.  I knew I would miss the anniversary color of the 2013.   I loved the yellow-bike.

The M8 has not disappointed me.  It's a fabulous piece of engineering.  Wish I could get it tuned without voiding my warranty.  The one thing I hate is the high idle on cold start.  (it instantly revs to as high as 2800 rpm before settling down in the next few seconds).  Otherwise, it is a fabulous touring bike.

But I missed my "Yellow Bike".

Having collected a full set of "tins" (paint parts), asked Other Side Customs in Dallas to help me out.  Gary runs a great paint shop with 7 employees.    He pretty closely matched the anniversary color (closer than necessary in my mind) and weeks later finished all the parts.  I hit him at a particularly busy time of the year when he's swamped with Sturgis and dealership work.  He does Rick Fairless' custom bike paint work.

The deadline was September 10th, the day before heading out on a 9 day Colorado motorcycle camping trip.  He met the challenge; I retrieved the final parts and completed the change-over at about 8PM on the day before we left.   Gary said it was like being involved in a Biker Build-off.
But 2,270 miles on the motor that week . . . nothing fell off.  :baby:

I now look down between my knees and smile every time.  It looks bright in my workshop.  Love it. I got such great compliments on the motorcycle (mostly from women that seem to like yellow).
I'm in motorcycle heaven.

Yes, I used the 2022 CVO paint scheme, but not the same yellow color; and with other changes in the scheme that pleased me.  (golden yellow sparkles in the black areas, sparkles in the yellow parts go slightly green under certain sunlight angles, narrower yellow strip and wider orange fade stripe)

A few changes to my 2020 CVO over the course of the year, mainly cosmetic. Currently sitting at 104,000 miles and still cleans up like new! My wife and I have ridden 40,000 miles this year as of November 7th. Easily our best year to date!

Nice, an interesting color that will age nicely.
How do you like the Ohlins suspension?
Title: Re: Show your M8
Post by: hdmanillac on April 22, 2023, 08:06:47 AM
This color was only in the 2017 catalog. You don't see it on every street corner. The color name is "Black Hills Gold / Black Quartz".

Ohlins suspensions are excessively expensive but the price is forgotten and the quality remains !

After working on/tuning countless M8s over the years- figured it was about time to get one of my own. Did the Klockwerkz 14in Sport shield today
Have a LePera Kickflip and some S&S GNX showing up any day now. I will say, with the limited break in riding I've been doing, the 117 is actually not too bad. For now. 2023 RoadGlide ST.
