I have a '52 K that needs resleeved. Anybody know of a GOOD company to do this??
Can't be re-sleeved, they didn't have sleeves.
LASCO makes one for the 45 W motor that will fit, get it from Eastern.
They will also take a really big oversize, like a Norton Atlas piston.
Be careful not to determine the bore size from the existing piston - many were bored to fit Scout.
any cylinder can be sleeved.LA or ADVANCE sleeve can make one,any good machine shop can install it (we`ve done a lot of vintage cylinders)
Axtell has done a bunch of those.
like I said, any cylinder can be sleeved.
Call Bill at Bore-Tech. He sleeves K models for Perry Finks race engines. Bill is used to working with rare or one of a kind motor parts.
Right, any cylinder can be sleeved (now - everybody!).
It can't be re-sleeved if it never had sleeves.
We've sleeved Ni-Cad plated bores back to a cast iron liner, in non-HD application.
Old worn, overbored 74" FL's never had a sleeve, sleeved them.
900cc XL's that needed to come back to OE bores, were not sleeve-equipped, did them too.

jeez,what f*ckinever,
So apparently only evos and twinks can be "resleeved" ...I had better tell my motor guy that he has been "sleeving" cylinders all these years....I prefer to call them Liners,,But I guess I'm just being anal :hyst:
So yeah LA Sleeve has sleeves ,,liners,, pieces of fancy pipe for almost every engine in the world..

Its not a hot water heater if you dont turn it up all the way. Could be a warm water heater
