Title: Difference between primary covers
Post by: 89 fxrs on April 22, 2017, 12:04:33 PM
Can someone please tell me what is the difference between a 60553-07 and a 60553-07A? The change was made in 2014 when they added the A to the part number

My guess would be the addition of the integrated oil valley for the latest compensator. The cover will fit 2007 to 2017.

went to order one for a 2013 - and noticed the change, so it shouldn't have any problems??? Any advantage to the updated one?

Advantage? If you need the oil valley, yes, if not, no.

somewhere in there they made things narrower I believe.....I looked up a derby cover and it was different between 09 and 16 models...a little research and I found where things were narrowed....maybe something in the Rushmore models...but there were differences....

I've got two of the 60553-07A covers, one on my '09, the other gong on my '08. I see no difference in them other than the oil valley for the compensator. eBay has many that are take offs, that where I get mine. One was from a 2014, the other from a 2015.
