Title: How to download tts tune from ecm
Post by: anthonyflhx on November 05, 2022, 08:11:06 PM
I had my bike dyno'd with a tts mastertune last year and wanted to download the file to a flash drive to keep with the tuner in my saddlebag, should I ever need it. I thought i downloaded the tune but the only thing that saves is a MTE file. Someone mentioned to me that that is not the dyno tune, its the stock harley factory tune. How can I download the dyno'd tune that is on my ecm?

If you have the older black VCI, you have to get a copy from the tuner, if he kept one on the PC he used.
If you have a blue VCI, you can upload/edit/download the MT9 file. The MTE file is for restoring the ECM to original, in case the dealer needs to use HD Digital Tech to access certain areas of the ECM.
Open software, and accept.
Click on file
Click on Load File from Interface (must have VCI connected to the PC)
Click on Load Tuning File (MT7,MT8, MT9)
Once loaded., a copy will be on that PC.
I suggest immediately saving that file under a new name, so it doesn't get lost (you may want to go back to the starting point sometime).
Edit/tune as needed.
