Title: Tappet Guide (lifter block) bolt torque
Post by: billbuilds on February 16, 2023, 12:40:11 PM
The factory SM shows 65-105 inch pounds. That's quite a disparity. Only thing I found in the archives was someone suggesting 90-120 inch pounds which seems too much. What did/do you set yours at?

Twin Cam Spec is 90 ~ 120 inch pound's. I'd call it 90 inch pounds with a drop of blue Loctite.

I use 96in/lb. I think the key is what ever you decide, do all four the same.

I'm a metric man but when it comes to in/lbs I like numbers that are divisible by 12 so I like that 96in/lbs   :SM:
