Title: Daytona cylinders
Post by: MadMaxUK on October 24, 2021, 04:39:22 AM
Do they come unfinished ready to be honed to size? They seem to be popular so I'm guessing that heat transfer and liner position within the cylinder is good? Thanks!

They are decent, already honed. Check the hone in plates, hit and miss.

What bore sizes are you seeing Don? Are they straight and round once clamped in plates?

Like I said hit and miss. They are really good out of plates, does that say anything? They are better than the competition. Again not really saying a lot. I personally am stocking sleeved cylinders so I can do 124-130" builds or sell kits. This is not the low cost, box them up and ship them out, solution but the cylinders are perfect when they leave here. The ductile iron I believe is far superior to cast liners.
