Title: Comparing lifters during install
Post by: rich1 on November 02, 2021, 01:13:57 PM
Greetings. I am installing a new cam and was comparing stock lifters with Johnson Hylift. The Hylift lifters have a much smaller hole in the pushrod cup than the stock lifters. But the Hylift lifters have a much larger oil feed hole in the lifter body. The dimensions are identical. Do these differences matter? Maybe asked before but I can't find anything. Thanks

Doesn't matter. The oil supply is regulated internally.

Yea, I got mine from Larry & they've got 80K on them, they never made a peep, even after sitting in a cold garage for weeks. Great lifters & service, I'll never buy anything else!
