I found a link on xl forums. Apparently they are made by Showa and other manufacturers use them. High end shocks aren't in the budget and even if they were, Ive never had a problem with the stock shocks. Of course, I'm not dragging knees thru corners on my ultra. I can get a lightly used set on eBay.

The factory  shocks are fine in the twisties. That is when I  want a stiff suspension.
It is rolling down some of these rough highways  that have me wanting more.

I  changed  the  oil  in  mine found  out  how  here made  a  nice  difference

find a set of take off stock shocks that are coil over hydro.. you should be able to buy them cheap, and they are way nicer. PN# 54000093 right,, and 54000094 left...
