Title: No brake?
Post by: HogMike on July 14, 2021, 08:20:05 PM
Bike is a 2019 cvo limited.
It has been sitting for about a month.
Rolled it out this morning and no front brake!
Fluid level ok, pumped it a few times and brakes worked fine for the next 80 miles.

Any ideas what caused the loss of brake?

:nix:

Something with the ABS module acting up?

Here's a WAG.  If it was stored with high ambient temps, I could see the fluid (rotors, pads etc.) expanding and returning fluid to the master cylinder.  Maybe the valve on the piston is light for releasing but sealing good on the return.  When cooled the caliper could then  be deficient in fluid and possible take a couple of strokes to recharge the caliper chamber.  If there is no visible staining it's an internal change.
