Title: Leaking pushrod tubes
Post by: Hossamania on September 16, 2018, 04:53:35 PM
A friend is trying to get the tubes to stop leaking at the bottom, '97 Custom 1200. I wasn't familiar with the tubes not having a keeper, so I was no help at the time. Seems an odd design not having a flange on the bottom of the tube to hold the seal and tube in place.
Any advice on how to get that seal to square up on the motor and keep the cover set properly?

On the pre- Rubbermounts H.D. Used a 2 piece base that located with a pin and single fastener.  Sometimes my 2000 would give me fits.  Ended up buying Zippers one piece base and no more problems after that change.
