It's not an octane/knocking issue. I don't like corn urine in motors used infrequently.
Have used ethanol free in my small engines forever with no carb problems. I don't trust vintage fuel systems and lined tanks to tolerate sitting with ethanol for long periods

24004-03B comes with 24605-07 outer bearing, 8792 washers, 35114-02 retainer, and a fitted race, for use on the left side. I use the 24605-07 on the right when using Timken on the left.

She looks great for sure Itsafatboy. I used Hydraulic lines last time on my oil cooler setup qnd never had an issue. Just thought metal would look cleaner for an install and the ease to bend the tubing got me curious. That does look outstanding for sure. I'm still waiting on my DH wheels to ship. Once I get them and have the cases finished up and motor in I'll start mock up and explore ideas with the canvas I have then. Like that blox.

Twin Cam / Lefty bearing SE

I recieved the Right side Crank Bearing for my 2016 FLSTFBS 124" today Via Eastern parts and noticed its slightly different in the material of the one I pulled out. It looks hardened on the shell. I double checked part #'s 24605-07 says it's the same for LFT and RT side. I have a Timken LFT. I seen Harley has a SE version 24004-03B but it's states it's for the left side only? Is this do to the additional spacers or is there something im not seeing? I obviously want the best part for my motor or application. Are the SE 24004-03B able to be used in the Right Case? Is there a better bearing for Higher HP builds in the Right case half?

I'm replacing everything but the balancers themselves. When ordering the guides or consumable parts the plastic/metal wearable guides where backordered through HD. So I seen the aftermarket does have an offering and wondered how good they are in comparison to OEM? Today I was able to track down OEM guides. I'll set the other aftermarket ones in my parts for later. I have a Lexus GX470 lifted and with Ironman and Icon parts. I know that they have alot of aftermarket parts but when it comes to Axles, and motor parts you ALWAYS go for OEM with toyota and lexus. This has carried over into other machines or motors I own and that's what got me questioning the grade of the aftermarket consumable guides.

I used 100LL in my Plymouth Duster 318 in the 70s when I was working as a charter pilot. As I recall, it ran well and gave pretty decent mileage. I was able to get a discount if I pumped it myself. Those were the days.....

Shark, I have to confess I've never used AVgas of any kind. All I can offer is my own experience with other gas. Namely, unleaded. My XL is 10.25:1, and all I use is California pump 91 octane gas, which I'm sure is full of lots of stuff other than petrochemicals. I have zero problems with it. So I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve. Is your bike pinging on "high octane" pump gas?
