Title: S&S 124" Sidewinder
Post by: Wookie3011 on December 10, 2021, 12:21:54 AM
I'm trying to put numbers in Big Boyz Calc. Does anyone know what the Specs are for S&S's sidewinder 124" pistons? Model of the kit is 0931-0541 and or 910-0338. Both numbers are on the box. I've hunted around on line and I haven't been able to figure out if this is the same pistons they use in their Hot setup or standard? What are the CC for tops on either. Thanks

The best way is to consult S&S.

Armin.

That kit (seen here (https://www.sscycle.com/products/124-inch-standard-compression-big-bore-kit-for-2007-16-big-twins-wrinkle-black-finish/)) is as follows:
Description
Cylinder, Kit, 4-1/8" Bore, Stock Bolt Pattern, 5.004",4-5/8" Stroke, 106-3491A, WBlack, 2007-up bt.
That is a flat top piston, 5.004" tall 4.125 bore cylinders.
For CR calculations, use 4.125 bore, 4.625 stroke, .045" head gasket and -1.5cc valve relief. With a zero deck, and standard 86cc TC chambers, 11.4:1. With 95cc CVO chambers, 10.5:1.
With a .030" Cometic HG and 95 chambers, you get 10 3/4 static.
Measure everything you have as it goes together, so there are no surprises. The devil is in the details...
