Title: S&S HI-4N Trouble shooting.
Post by: Traveler733 on June 13, 2019, 01:25:58 PM
3 year old S&S HI-4N Nose cone ignition. Ran fine yesterday, but noticed tach needle a little erratic.  Fired once today, then nothing.  No spark. Red LED comes on with key. Does not blink when cranking engine. Battery is strong. New Spark plugs. Has fuel at carburetor. 1990 FLHTCU, S&S engine.   Tried calling the phone number on the installation sheet. Got a number disconnected message..    Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!

Take the plugs out and make sure they are grounded solid then crank it over check for spark. If the are not well grounded you could damage the coil. Dont do it bright sun so you can see the spark well.
