Title: oil fitting

just curious to know if the inner primary chain oiler fitting is pressed or screwed in to the primary thanks all

I believe the fitting is pressed in. I remember tapping mine to 1/8" pipe.

If you're talking about the forward fitting in the inner primary just above the tensioner shoe, it is pressed in.
If you're in the process converting this system from auto pri. lubing to the isolated state, some of us will leave that fitting there to use it as a vent.
I either rotate that fitting downward or install short piece of hose on it directed downward to help keep out water.

I would turn it up, put a 90% on the hose so it will face down, like an upside down "u", this will prevent the oil in the primary from coming out. Frank

Pretty sure its pressed in, I left mine pointing down and put a 3" piece of hose on to act as a vent and so it wont leave a stain on the inner primary/frame. seems to work well, but only have 100 miles on that setup.
