Title: Length of OEM 4753, 1/4-20 Allen screw

Anyone have this bolt in stock for measuring? The parts book states 3/8'' length, either length or p/n got be wrong.

4753  went obsolete in August 2002

what year oil pump are you working on?

knowing what it's used for it's probably 2-3/8" long

OK  from the Buell P/Manuals, the same pump and they changed the screw in '98

4753    SCREW, sems (2)   M2 1997
4765    SCREW, sems (2)   M2 1998

4753     SCREW 1/4-20 X 3/8 socket hd., w/lockpatch (Grade 8 )
4765     SCREW 1/4-20 X 2-5/8 SEMS socket hd., w/lockpatch (Grade 8 ) (zinc)

earlier models again used P/N 3478/3478A which were 2-1/2" long   :SM:

Thank you  :up: it's a -96 883 and i'm only selling the pump and doesn't have access to the old screws.

Scaled, I find them to be 2 1/8''. Where on earth did you find those pictures?  :SM:
