Thanks,

I was in a rush to get those changes completed before the barn got snowed in. It started out just doing the neck and swing arm bearings.  I have only ridden it 150 feet to the garage.

I wanted to get away from the apes, everyone has apes now.  As time passes I am less sure about the beach bar look but free was a good price.  We shall see how it shakes down when I don't have to ride though snow or slush to get to the road.

It may even get a {gasp} windshield.  :embarrassed:

Quote from: itsafatboy on Yesterday at 10:28:22 PMWow so all our K&P reusable filters and the Purepower filters and so on, are not catching much by this test so first i wonder what the size that dust was? but really doesn't matter , and though it was iron and the magnets in these reusable filters would probably catch that stuff, not sure what brand they were testing, so still concerning though say it was aluminum or carbon particles then the magnets wouldnt help,

Well crap now I'm wondering if i should go back to KN or Amsoil or HD filter, i really don't like idea of hurting my bike, even though my purepower filter is double woven 35 micron so a little better than striate 35 its still bad,

Yeah, I almost believed the hype from a couple of companies pushing the wire mesh reusable filters until I did a little research.  I'm still using the HD filter.  It was designed for the HD engine and I'm perfectly comfortable it's the best for my engine.

Once the base gasket is dealt with, I'm thinking morning coffee in hand, tunes on, Nub Tool, double springs, good seals, reassembled, valves adjusted and fired up in maybe 6 hrs? Probably including a sandwich break.  How's that fur painting a picture?  :fish:  :SM:

Yur welcome

I would definitely try to glue it. Maybe post some pictures, some here might have some ideas on a repair.

And maybe replace the beehives with double springs.    :potstir:
