I thought I had purchased a Pure Flo but after opening itsa's link I realized I have the Pure Power). When purchased it was only $100 CDN (about ~$0.20 USD). I'd have to pass on that initial cost today due to the shear cost - even though they pay for themselves eventually.

@ $20 for a filter from the dealer doesn't take long to save the cost and its bonus after that. Dam I use 4-5 oil changes to a engine break in and I have reconfigured 3 times now. Bob

Jeeze, and I thought $8 bucks was bad when I bought my last dealer filter. But as stated, they will pay for themselves...just a little longer till that "free" day now.
We're all A-holes. It's to what degree that makes us different.

Flow filters are rated at 35 microns, Harley specs for 5.
Interesting video, but running the test back to back may have a flaw, running the test after break-in on a new rebuild for both would be more accurate.
I still believe the test shows some results.
I know more particles a filter catches, the more it filters, as long as the bypass is not in play, how can they know what the bypass is doing? It needs the flow capacity also.
Not saying yea or nay, just interesting.

Harley spec 5 microns, is this absolute or nominal? 5 microns alone doesn't mean much! And like you mentioned if 5 microns is extremely important like many think, what happens when your filter goes in bypass?

The Flow filter is a absolute rating at 35 micron,  The Harley filter is 5 micron nominal but does not state the efficiency,  in my book I'll take the absolute filter rating any time,  been running one for 20 years, also use them in aviation.

Exactly what i was saying! i use to work on helicopters for 30 years, and we were using cleanable filter on engines and RGB's for very long time even before i started to work on them.

K&P is an FAA approved filter manufacturer.   Good enough for the sky, good enough for the street.

You should get paid for that from them.  :SM:

I'm using Flo on My 124" out of necessity. I have the Oil bud oil cooler and ABS model. With the increased size of the cylinders a Normal oil filter would no longer fit into its location. I've done several oil changes and no complaints.
I've never met anyone to dumb to get it but many to smart.
