Part number 58359-98 this is from St Charles Harley Davidson's microfiche ....(thank you turboprop)

Mine is blowing out on the left side of the fairing when the sun heats up the internals of the fairing.

Clowns at the dealership didnt repair it instead they fixed something else that didnt need fixin.

But, they said there was something better and to bring it back (dont call us , we'll call you) and I told them to go pound sand.

So, is there something better and what is it if there is or do I need to use the OEM stuff and fix it myself.

I am not in the know of what is used out there I would appreciate a part number and or product name if anyone has experienced this in the past.

Thanks Gents and no I aint going back to the clowns who said they fixed it and clearly didnt.

For what it's worth, I had the same issue on my '02.  I ended up just taking throwing the trim pieces in the trash.  It's been that way for about 15 years now with no bad side effects.

I bought some door edge guard trim at auto parts store and it's better than oem by far. Used it on some other areas too.
