Hi... my early 89 has a seal and a scraper ring fitted and its damaged my starter shaft. From late 89 to 93 they fit this seal without the scraper ring where as early 89 its the same seal but with the scraper ring?
So I'm going to fit it without the scraper, but does anyone know the depth to fit it? nothing in my manual... I'm guessing the spring faces into the primary like the existing one...
Its quite a long bore and I guess you could actualy fit 2 seals.. anyone done this?
Found it in a later manual my mate has... so no scraper ring now, just the new type seal
