Title: screaming eagle 110 primary

bought a 110 cvo screaming eagle  primary seems to whine a lot.i took cover off and chain had lots play in it.are these auto tensions know to run to tight when under load??

Auto tensioners tend to get tight when the RPM's are up, then the throttle is chopped shut and decel in gear. It allows the chain to get relaxed on the lower side, and the tensioner can ratchet tighter.

You didn't say what year you have, but the latest TC design, -B in the part number is improved and I've had great success with.

I believe these can be welded, locking them into a fixed (manual) position as well. I'd like to know how to do this myself for future projects too.

thanks for replys,its a 08 flhtse cvo.probly won't work on it till spring now.live in canada
