Title: Wiseco Pistons For CVO 110?
Post by: robertg on March 26, 2021, 02:07:51 PM
Does Wiseco make stock or 0.010" pistons specifically for a CVO 110 with stock compression? I see a few sets on ebay that advertise 10.5:1 compression, but I'm thinking that is with different heads.

They don't even list a 110 on their web site.

UEM offers a set of 4.010" forged pistons, with a 4.2 cc dome, for CVO 110 engines. Domes can be altered. I have several sets on order, hopefully they will be here next week.

I guess I should make my question more clear. I am rebuilding a 110 and someone local says they have some Wiseco 0.010" pistons for it. They are a lot cheaper than the OEM pistons. I don't have the part numbers for them, but I will get them tomorrow. When I do a search I can't find much information on Wiseco pistons for a 110. It looks like most of them are made for use with stock 96 heads. I'm assuming the 96 head uses a smaller combustion chamber?

I want to keep the compression as close to stock as possible. The bike has the stock 255 cams in it.

You might be able to find OE pistons and cylinders with little or no miles at a decent price from someone who did a drop on 117".  I know some guys did it right out of the gate.

2 Answers.
Robertg:: 110 CVO chambers are a lot different than 88 - 103 and all in between.

xFlan:: 110 CVO stroke is the same as  07 and later 96" - 103".

Do you know what part number I should use for stock compression? They make KB661, KB913C, and KB914C. I'm thinking the KB661 is the correct one?

From what I read the KB pistons are slightly larger than stock. Hopefully I can get away without a bore.

looks like KB661C
HD Performance (site member/vendor) uses KB fairly often, he can verify.

That is the piston to use. It will come .001 os if ordered STD. you can mill off the small dome. There is also the line2line coated kb661lcaSTD.

Thanks, so if I don't mill off the dome is the compression 10:1 with 110 heads?

Features
New skirt coating technology is applied to the entire thickness of the piston-to-wall clearance for a zero install clearance; coating then abrades in on start-up to hone for the perfect fit per cylinder
Skirt coating eliminates piston rock for the best possible ring seal with no piston slap noise

Specs
Bore Size: 101,60 mm / 101.60 mm
Piston Size: Standard
Displacement: 110"
Stroke Length: 4-3/8" / 4-3/8"
Compression Ratio: 10,0:1 / 10.0:1

I'd suggest boring it to 113" and the use of an S&S .570.
If more is wanted, a good set of heads, 58mm t/body and a T-Man 660-PS-2.

It's just a bike that I have for sale, so I don't need anything fancy. I ended up ordering the KB661LCA pistons.

I thought the same but can't seem to locate any.
